how it started

Michael Hubbard discovered his passion for HTML and designing websites when he was 13 and learnt about HTML briefly in school. He soon bought a book and started coding first sites. After a few years the hobby became a job and while most 17 year olds went and waitered or got some typical vacation job Michael went and sold websites. Now mikehub.net has incorporated and has expanded beyond just Michael, offering high-quality websites to SMEs.

what makes us unique

We strive not for the divine design but for superb usability. For a website to be a success it has to be visually appealing, but there is a point where design intereferes with usability and this scares away potential customers. At mikehub.net we have found a balance between appealing designs and high usability, offering minimum clicks for the user while ensuring their eyes are visually stimulated.

the team

mikehub.net is a family business, run by Michael Hubbard and co-owned by Jonathan and Thembi Hubbard. We project this harmony within the company onto our websites and within this team bounce of ideas and epiphanies to find the right solutions for your success.

the standard

The most important aspect of a website is cross-browser and -platform functionality. Therefore we adhere to the World Wide Web Committee's standards for HTML and test our sites in both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
