privacy policy
Collection of data
Only data submitted to mikehub.net by the user is collected. Comments on blog posts are stored in an adequately protected database and the e-mail address of the user isn't published. The e-mail addresses of the update-form are handled in the same way.
Handling of data
Never is any data, such as names, contact information, etc., given to a third party. Any data collected by mikehub.net is stored in secure databases and is not made available to any third party.
A user's data, such as their e-mail address, will not be used for mass e-mail marketing (spamming). In the case of the update-form the user will occasionally be updated about new blog posts and other relevant information. No more than one e-mail per day will be sent, but usually the actual amount of mail is far less.
Retaining of data
Data is retained indefinitely. Upon deletion of a blog post all comments, and therefore all user-related data, is automatically deleted as well. In the case of e-mail updates there is an unsubscribe link in the mail. Should you wish for your personal data to be removed, including comments on blog posts, please e-mail privacy@mikehub.net stating which data is to be removed. Preferably from the e-mail address concerned, to prevent fraud.
Data submitted via the contact form
Any data submitted via the contact form is not stored in a database, but sent via e-mail to Michael Hubbard. Any information submitted is therefore handled as an e-mail and is not governed by this privacy policy. These e-mails are retained until they become obsolete. Once again, no data will be shared with third parties and all correspondance is handled confidentially.
